CHILD CARE Qualified, caring staff provides safe, flexible childcare in a structured, stimulating setting with a complete nutrition program Monday - Friday year 'round.
INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT & EDUCATIONAL COUNSELING Stimulating support groups, one-on-one counseling, referrals and opportunities for growth foster self-development and family stability.
CAREER PLANNING & JOB PLACEMENT Mentoring, self-assessment and field experience enable students to make informed choices about academic plans and career opportunities and gain a greater understanding of the job market.
PARENTING DEVELOPMENT Programs on parenting, nutrition, health, safety, finances, legal rights and other life skills help parents with family development.
PRACTICAL NEEDS Food, clothing, and other basics are secured for families in need.
To be enrolled at Angels’ Place, Inc., parents must be:
Low-income (determined by the federal poverty guidelines)
Parent of a child between the ages of birth and five years
Student parents will receive the opportunity and resources necessary to:
Complete Secondary / Post-Secondary education
Gain skills toward self-sufficiency
Improve ability to strategize and solve problems
Establish realistic expectations for children
Increase ability to manage budget and credit
Enhance employment opportunities and income
Increase knowledge of effective parenting practices / child development
Increase confidence in self as parent
Assume active role as primary teacher in his / her child's life
Increase knowledge of good nutrition
Improve conflict resolution skills
Increase reasoning and negotiation skills
Increase well-being and stress management
Improve healthy relationships and quality of parent / child interactions
Employ preventive health practices
While their children have the opportunity to:
Achieve school readiness
Experience improved health
Demonstrate age-appropriate play
Develop internal control
